We recently shared with our Move With Mack Thrive Crew email members that we are adopting a word of the month. We feel a word of the month will help us to stay focused on what is important to us. Our word for November is "Abundance".
When we're young, having a lot of something often looks like having more. More money, more stuff, more fun, and more places to go. We chase it, thinking that once we have "enough," we'll be able to get it.
We have learned over the years that abundance isn't about having too much; it's about having enough. Peaceful enough to drown out the noise. Love that fills our hearts. Health that is good enough to keep our bodies strong.
When we were in our 20s and 30s, abundance might have meant nice cars, busy schedules, and the excitement of what was coming next. In our 40s, it might have been about getting ahead in our careers, raising a family, or reaching new goals. But in this beautiful time of life after 50, abundance feels very different, easier, slower, and much more important.
For us, abundance now means: A calm morning with coffee and no reason to rush. A walk together that ends in laughter. Good health that lets us move with thankfulness. Conversations that lift our spirits instead of draining them. And the kind of peace that makes us remember we already have more than we need.
We now know that you don't have to chase true abundance; you can grow it by being grateful, being aware, and choosing joy every day. We'd love to hear from you now!
