We want to clear up a misconception many have about the Fulltime RV Lifestyle, we are not on a permanent vacation. A vacation is about escape. The RV lifestyle is about intention.
When you’re on vacation, you’re not thinking about where your water’s coming from or if your tanks need to be dumped. But as full-time RVers? That’s what Tuesday looks like.
We still:
- Pay bills
- Grocery shop (usually more creatively)
- Work online (hello Wi-Fi roulette!)
- Cook real meals (yes, in the RV!)
- Workout (often at military base gyms or outside in nature)
- Manage maintenance, repairs, and route planning
- And most importantly… protect our peace
Let us walk you through what a typical day might look like for us:
6:30 AM – Wake up to birdsong (no alarm clock needed!)
7:00 AM - Coffee and coaching calls or writing from our dinette
7:30 AM – Walk a mile to the gym or do a kettlebell workout by the picnic table
12:30 PM – Break our fast with a protein drink, avocado and hard boiled eggs
Afternoon – Travel day prep, errands, or exploring a local gem
Evening – Home cooked meal usually some type of one pot meal, sunset views, watching our favorite YouTube channels and planning the next day
This lifestyle is not a break from life—it is life.
Not Always Glamorous—But Always Worth It
Just like home life, there are days when:
- The weather pushes us off course
- Something in the RV leaks
- A health emergency arises
- We get a call that can be not so good news
Living full-time in an RV has helped us:
- Simplify our lives
- Focus on wellness and movement
- See more family than we ever could when stuck in one place
- And stay rooted in faith and freedom
