A Trip to Birmingham
Civil Rights Institute

· Our Adventures

July was an awesome month filled with fun and adventure. One of our stops was at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute,

The Birmingham Civil Rights Institute is a large interpretive museum and research center in Birmingham, Alabama that depicts the struggles of the Civil Rights Movement in the 1950s and 1960s.

As we drove Back to Joyland RV Park in Leesburg, AL (about an hours drive) our visit triggered our discussion of how far we have come as society but how much has remained the same.

In this video we are sharing just a few of the highlights as there is so much to see.

We highly recommend that if you are ever in the area you add the Civil Rights Instute to your must see list.
