How We’ve Enjoyed 6 Months in Las Vegas on a Budget

It's easier than you think...

Las Vegas might be known for high-rolling and luxury, but did you know you can camp here affordably while still enjoying everything the city has to offer? We’ve spent the last six months in Vegas, taking in the sights, the food, and the fun—without blowing our budget! Here’s how we made it work:

✅Affordable Stays → We are thankful to be able to stay at military FamCamps like Desert Eagle FamCamp located on Nellis AFB. The campground gave us access to full hookups, a clean laundry facility and shower house at a fraction of the cost of traditional RV resorts. We also have access to all of the amenities of the AFB such as the commissary, gym and UPS Store for getting our packages just to name a few.

✅Getting out in Nature → Lake Mead is an absolute beautiful area to get in some movement. We definitely enjoyed riding our eBikes on the beautiful trails. We were able to have free access to Lake Mead as holders of the America The Beautiful Park Pass. We also enjoyed visiting Craig Ranch Regional Park it is a beautiful park located in North Las Vegas. The park has walking trails, tennis courts, basketball courts, playgrounds, community garden, amphitheater and lots of open space to enjoy. We are actually looking forward to attending a Unity on the Trail event at the park. We will share more about the event over on our Facebook Page. Be sure to give us a like over there if you haven't already.

✅ Fremont Street Experience – Free live concerts and street performers make this a must-visit.The Viva Vision Lights Show on Freemont Street is known as one of the best free things to do in Las Vegas and we have enjoyed quite a few free shows.

✅ The Strip’s Free Attractions – Watching the fountains, exploring themed casinos, and catching pop-up performances never gets old.

✅ Military Discounts – Vet Tix is a benefit that no Veteran should be without. We have enjoyed seven shows and have spent less than $100. Fellow Veterans set up your free account here and start enjoying events all across the states.
