Did Spending a Month

Talking About Purpose

Help Us Discover Our Own?

· Life After 50

We chose a single word to lead our talks with our community at the beginning of this month.

Purpose.

We wrote about it, talked about it, and encouraged others to think about what gives their lives meaning after 50.

What we didn’t expect was how much those conversations would change us.

As we share stories, think about our own experiences, and read your comments we recognized something. Sometimes purpose is not something you need to go looking for. Sometimes it gets clearer only because we slow down long enough to listen.

That has certainly been the case for us.

Purpose Was There All Along

We used to assume purpose was something big, as many people do.

  • A new career.
  • A big accomplishment.
  • A one in a life time opportunity.

But in recent weeks, we’ve been reminded that purpose often shows up in much more quiet ways.

It is found in giving hope to a person who needs hope.

It is found in choosing motion, because we want more life, not just more years.

There’s something about discovering new locations together and sharing those experiences with those who may have believed their adventurous days were behind them.

It is found in every conversation that reminds someone they are not too old to dream, travel, grow, or begin again.

The more we talked about purpose, the more we recognized that this has been our purpose all along.

You Helped Us See It

Perspective is one of the best gifts that our Thrive Community has given us.

Every comment, message and story shared.

Each reminds us that what we do is about much more than creating videos or writing blog posts.

It is about building a community where people over 50 feel encouraged instead of overlooked.

Where growing older is seen as an opportunity instead of a limitation.

Where thriving becomes something we can all pursue together.

That realization has filled us with gratitude. 💙

Purpose Continues to Grow

Purpose is not a destination we arrive at once and never revisit.

It grows as we grow, it changes as life changes.

What matters is staying open enough to recognize it when it appears.

This month has reminded us that purpose often becomes clearer when we stop asking, "What should we be doing?" and begin asking ourselves,

"How can we serve the people right in front of us?"

For us, the answer keeps leading back to the same place.

Helping adults over 50 travel, thrive, and live boldly.

That is work we are deeply grateful to do.

Turning the Page

As this month comes to a close, we hope you take a quiet moment to look back as well.

Maybe your purpose is already showing up in ways you have not fully recognized.
Maybe it is in the way you care for your family, the way you encourage a friend, the way you continue learning. or the way you choose hope even when life feels uncertain.

Purpose does not always arrive with a grand announcement.

Sometimes it simply grows stronger each time we choose to live with intention.

Thank you for joining us on a journey through a purpose driven month.

You have helped us discover something about ourselves that we will carry forward.

And we hope, in some small way, these conversations have helped you recognize a little more of your own purpose too.

"Purpose is rarely something we find. More often, it is something we recognize after taking enough meaningful steps to see where our hearts have been leading us all along."

With love and gratitude,

Kirsten & Mack
