Affordable Fun on the High Seas

Our Mother’s Day Aboard the Victory Casino Cruise

May 16, 2025

This Mother’s Day we decided to switch things up. We hit the Atlantic aboard the Victory Casino Cruise in Cape Canaveral, Florida. And y’all, let me tell you: it was a vibe.

Now we didn’t walk away millionaires, but we sure walked away smiling. And that’s what this lifestyle is all about—finding joy in new places, making memories that don’t break the bank, and soaking up every moment like it might be the last.

As full-time RVNomads, we’ve learned that fun doesn’t have to come with a high price tag. Whether we’re parked at a military campground, exploring a quiet beach town, or hopping aboard a floating casino—we’re always on the lookout for experiences that give us more value than stress.

We used Mack’s veteran status to purchase our tickets on Patrick Space Force base for only $28 per person. We were going to use Groupon but found them cheaper on base. Not only did that save us a chunk of change, but as first-time cruisers, we also got $20 in free play each to use at the slots or tables.

Did we win big? Nah.
Did we lose big? Nope.
Did we have an amazing time? Absolutely!

The Mother’s Day Meal Deal

If you know us, you know we love a good deal—. They offered a Mother’s Day Special that included:

  • Juicy baked chicken breast with raspberry sauce topping
  • Creamy mashed potatoes
  • Mixed veggies
  • Glass of champagne
  • And a slice of moist carrot cake

Now here’s where it gets good: We got a BOGO special for being first-time guests. That meant we both ate—for just $5 total.

Yep, $5 for two full plates on the water. I couldn’t cook it that cheap in our RV kitchen!

The vibe was easy and relaxed. Coffee, tea, water, and soda were free, and if you were playing, alcoholic drinks were on the house too. A live DJ kept the dance floor moving, and while it wasn’t crowded, it felt full of life. We met some nice folks and really enjoyed the upbeat atmosphere

The weather? Gorgeous.
The views? Beautiful.
The energy? Just right.
The temperature? Cold onboard, we highly recommend taking a sweater or jacket

Here’s What We Spent (and What We Got!)

Cruise tickets (2 @ $28) $56

Free Play Credit-$40

Mother’s Day Meal $5

Non-alcoholic beverages FREE

Alcoholic drinks (while playing) FREE

Return ticket for a future cruise FREE

Total out of pocket: $11 for two

Experience? Priceless.

Life is Precious—Make It Count

This adventure reminded us of something we hold dear as RV nomads: Life is short, and joy is where you make it.

No, the boat wasn’t Vegas. But it didn’t have to be. It was laughter, movement, connection, sunshine—and another memory added to our adventure log.

So wherever you are—on wheels, on water, or just dreaming of what’s next—look for affordable fun, and don’t wait for perfect conditions. Every moment is precious. And if you can dance while you’re at it? Even better.

Stay tuned, we have more adventures lined up over the next few weeks that we can't wait to share with you.

Live now. Laugh often. Love the journey.
